Ground Rules

Venting is a personal and dynamic activity that can take many turns, especially after multiple sessions with the same listener. There is no need to stop yourself from expressing what you feel or want to say, but we do require basic respect from and for our Venters and Listeners. Violating the rule list below may result in a call ending early or your account being reviewed and potentially banned.

Venter Rules

Please do not:

  • Solicit Listener’s for services of a sexual nature.

  • Be aggressive or negative towards a Listener.

  • Use hateful, sexist, bigoted, or discriminatory language.

  • Ask Listeners personal questions.

Listener Rules

We do not:

  • Conduct licensed therapy or coaching sessions.

  • Solicit services of a sexual nature.

  • Give advice, instructions, or prescriptions.

  • Directly ask for personal information regarding finances, race, religion, sexual orientation, political beliefs, or sensitive information.
